2010 Conference

Future BNCI had a conference from 13-16 September 2010 near Graz, Austria. To reduce costs and keep the event at a manageable size, we limited the event to about 40 attendees. This conference did not focus mainly on presentation and discussion of recent research like most conferences. Instead, attendees participated in workshops with focused discussions aimed at specific topics relevant to future directions in our field.

We want to thank all participants in our conference. September is an especially busy month, yet 42 people made the time to attend our conference, which also required some time before the conference to prepare. We are working on mechanisms to follow up on the conference.

Please feel free to use this website to present your views, such as through the discussion forum. There are already some posts there from different conference workshops. You're welcome to email any of us in the consortium, or conference attendees, or other people, with questions or issues for further discussion. The slideshow from the closing address at the conference contains some summary information. Slide 2 describes many different possible outcomes of the conference, and the later slides address follow up mechanisms.

Below, you can find information on the workshops, including the final presentations, which summarized the outcomes of the individual workshops.
